Membrane system
Water Proofing Membrane Is a bituminous membrane that is a mixture of bitumen and polymers reinforced with non-woven polyester to get a high flexibility property, excellent tensile strength, and elongation.
Surface Preparation
Prior to any insulation, the areas to be waterproofed will be carefully checked. All substrates should conform to general standards of civil Engineering. The concrete surface to be waterproofed must be clean, dry, smooth & free of any oil, grease, protruding nails, wires, or sharp edges. Any cracks must be repaired using a suitable concrete repair product to a smooth finish. All internal angles must be smoothly finished with cement sand fillet and external angles must be chamfered.
Torching Accessories kit consists of:
- A Gas torch with flashback arresters.
- A Gas hose of at least 10 meters long.
- A proper knife for cutting the membrane.
- Spatulas.
- Butane gas bottle.
NOTE:
For safety reasons, torching will always be at least 3 meters away from the butane Gas bottles. Gas bottles will be placed above a layer of protection board to protect the applied membrane.
